Workability

This steel product offers superior high temperature strength similar to Type 430 in the range of 1150-950℃, and increases in strength below 900℃. Take caution when cold-working, as it has high proof stress and low elongation compared to Type 304.

Weldability

The 1.4462 Grade Duplex Stainless Steel is a highly versatile stainless steel, ideal for applications that require both strength and corrosion resistance. Its superior weldability allows quick and efficient welding with shielding metal arc, TIG and plasma welding methods. Additionally, the same welding consumable may be used for all applicable welding methods.

Heat Treatment

Our 1.4462 stainless steel boasts a solution heat treatment between 1020~1100℃, followed by rapid cooling to guarantee superior hardness and elongation. Its unique cooling rate minimizes exposure to temperature ranges that can cause brittleness and σ phase formation.

Applications

Ideal for a variety of industrial applications, such as chemical plants, thermal power plant flue gas desulfurization plants, and seawater desalination plants. It is also suitable for use in chemical tankers, seawater pumps, pulp and paper plants, and bridges. You can rely on this robust product to get the job done.
