Forging: Shafts with flanks/pipes/tubes/slugs/donuts/cubes/other shapes

Tubings: OD: φ6-1800mm, with wall thickness ranging from 1-35 mm.

Finished goods condition: hot forging/hot rolling + annealing/normalizing + tempering/quenching + tempering/any conditions based on the customer's requirement

Surface conditions: scaled (hot working finish)/ground/rough machining/fine machining/based on the customer's requirement

Furnaces for metallurgical processing: electrode arc + LF/VD/VOD/ESR/Vacuum consumable electrode.

Description

Alloy special structural steel.

Applications
Cold forging steel grade used for stressed parts for machines, vehicles, quenched and tempered screws etc. 

Physical properties (avarage values) at ambient temperature
Modulus of elasticity [10³ x N/mm²]: 210 
Density [g/cm³]: 7.85

Soft Annealing
Heat to 650-720^oC, cool slowly. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 207.

Normalizing
Temperature: 850-880^oC.

Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 830-870^oC followed by water or oil quenching.

Tempering
Tempering temperature: 540-680^oC.

Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1100-850^oC.
