Specification, Chemical & Mechanical Performance
Chemical Composition
carbon (C) 0.70-0.80%
chromium (Cr) 0.90-1.20%
silicon (Si) ≤ 0.50%
manganese (Mn) ≤ 0.80%
phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.03%
sulfur (S) ≤ 0.03%
The combination of high carbon and moderate chromium endows it with high hardness and hardenability.
Physical Performance
Mechanical properties:
Tensile strength ≥ 1600MPa, hardness up to 47-51 HRC, excellent wear resistance, high elastic limit, fatigue strength, and tempering stability.
Other characteristics:
Good thermal stability, corrosion resistance, small deformation after heat treatment, suitable for precision machining.
Main Purpose
Tool manufacturing: used for small tools such as punches, core rods, razors, and tamping tools.
Mold applications: cold heading die, cold extrusion die, punching die (cutting die, trimming die), bending die and drawing die.
Saw blade material: suitable for cutting tools such as band saws and circular saws that require high hardness and wear resistance.
