ASTM T6 Tool Steel is similar to T5 Tool Steel, but T-6 steel has more Cobalt and Tungsten content than T5 tool steels, and T6 tool steel is better in high temperature hardness and wear resistance.

5. Forjado de acero de alta velocidad ASTM T6
Forge at 1162℃ down to 1010℃. Do not forge below 982℃.
Tratamiento térmico de acero de alta velocidad 6.ASTM T6
Preheat TT steels to 815℃ and then heat rapidly to 1273 – 1287℃ and hold at temperature for 2 to 5 minutes. Quench in air, salt bath, or oil.
Annealing of Steel T-6
Anneal at 885℃ and slow cool in the furnace at a rate less than 4℃ per hour.
Tempering of T6 Steel
Temper T6 at 537℃ to 593℃ for Rockwell C of 65 to 60.
7.Applications of AISI T6 High Speed Steel
AISI T6 high speed steels are mainly used for cutting applications such as drills, milling processes, cutting tools, reamers, etc.
