Specification, Chemical & Mechanical Performance
Chemical Composition
- The main element content is as follows (mass fraction):
- Carbon (C): 0.85% to 0.95%
- Silicon (Si): 1.00% to 1.60%
- Manganese (Mn): 0.30% to 0.60%
- Chromium (Cr): 0.95% to 1.25%
- Sulfur (S), phosphorus (P): both ≤ 0.030%
- Nickel (Ni), copper (Cu): trace residues are allowed (≤ 0.25% and ≤ 0.30%)
Physical Property
- High hardenability:
The depth of the hardened layer during oil quenching can reach 40-50mm, suitable for large section workpieces.
- High hardness and wear resistance:
Quenching hardness ≥ 62HRC, red hardness temperature range 250-320 ℃.
- Tempering stability:
Dispersed carbides precipitate during tempering at 500-600 ℃, exhibiting a secondary hardening effect.
- Heat treatment deformation is small:
The incubation period in the medium temperature transition zone is long, suitable for graded quenching or isothermal quenching processes.
Main PurposeTool Manufacturing:
Used for low-speed cutting tools (such as drill bits, reamers, taps) and molds with complex shapes and high wear resistance requirements (such as stamping dies, plastic molds).
Structural component application:
Suitable for components such as ships, vehicles, machine tools, pressure vessels, etc. that require high strength and wear resistance.Special process: commonly used for cold rolling rolls, straightening rolls, and slender rods, balancing hardness and toughness.
